Day 01 : Chennai - Puttaparthi
Your journey will begin with a morning pick-up from your advised location or from the Chennai Airport. From there, you will be driven to Puttaparthi, a town located in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
Upon arrival in Puttaparthi, you will check into your hotel and have the evening free for leisure or relaxation. You may want to explore the town, visit local markets or simply take some time to unwind and rest.
During your overnight stay in Puttaparthi, you will have the opportunity to experience the town's unique spiritual and cultural offerings. Known for being the birthplace of Sathya Sai Baba, the town is home to several spiritual and religious sites that are worth exploring.
Day 02: Puttaparthi
After a leisurely morning and a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a full-day tour of Puttaparthi.
Your tour will include visits to several significant spiritual and religious sites in the town. You will start your tour with a visit to the Anjaneya (Hanuman) Swamy Temple, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the monkey god who is revered for his strength and devotion.
Next, you will visit the Sathya Sai Ashram (Prasanthi Nilayam), the spiritual hub of Puttaparthi. This ashram is dedicated to Sathya Sai Baba, a spiritual leader and philanthropist who is widely revered for his teachings on love, peace, and unity. You will have the opportunity to explore the ashram's beautiful grounds and learn about its history and significance.
Your tour will also include a visit to the Gopuram or Ganesh Gate, the entry point to the ashram through which Sai Baba leaves or comes back to the ashram. This is a highly significant spot for Sai Baba's devotees, as they gather here to catch a glimpse of their beloved spiritual leader.
Finally, you will visit the Meditation Tree, a banyan tree planted by Sai Baba in the serene premises of the ashram. The tree has gained much significance in the routine life of the ashram's inmates, as it is believed to have a calming and soothing effect on those who meditate beneath its branches.
After a full day of sightseeing, you will return to your hotel for a well-deserved rest and overnight stay.
